My name is Parys

I'm a product designer with a political science and human rights background. I came to design through studying systems, who they serve, who they leave out, and why. That lens shapes how I approach every project.

I've designed for nonprofits, education platforms, and AI products. I ask a lot of questions, care about accessibility from the start, and think about where user data goes.

How I work

Start by asking questions.

Who is this for? Who might it exclude? What happens when something ends up going wrong?

Sketch before polishing.

I've learned that structure matters more than aesthetics in the early stages.

Collaborate early with engineers.

The best designs don't mean much if they can't be built, I'd rather catch problems in conversation than in QA.

Test with real people.

Analytics tell you what's happening; user testing tells you why.

What I care about

+ Accessibility as a baseline, not something to check off.

+ Asking who gets left out.

+ Privacy by default.

+ Designing systems, not just screens.

+ Being honest about what I don't know.

+ Learning in public.
